Colin Steele’s Kings of Swing

Winner of the ‘Best Instrumentalist’ prize at the 2025 Scottish Jazz Awards and a prominent figure in the Scottish jazz scene, trumpeter Colin Steele has pulled together a stellar line of up of the very best and most swinging Scottish jazz musicians for this concert.

Playing classic jazz hits from the 30s and 40s from the likes of Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman and Kenny Ball, the band will showcase the enduring appeal of swing, from its characteristic arrangements to its vibrant rhythms. Expect familiar tunes played with panache as they serve up the very finest swinging jazz.
