Helensburgh & Lomond Civic Centre is on East Clyde Street, overlooking the Clyde estuary. (see map below) The building was, until 1968, the Clyde Street Primary school.
It was designed by Alexander Nisbet Paterson in 1903. It was a 2-storey school in Scottish revival style incorporating 17th century Renaissance details.
It has become a popular venue for weddings as well as for dances and parties. The main hall has been beautifully and sympathetically renovated to make an amazing concert venue.
The entrance to the venue is at the east end of the building through
the " Girls" door. There is car parking on site.
